Ammoniated mercury 5%
Indication and properties:
Ammoniated mercury is a
mild antiseptic and also applied to the skin surrounding
the perineum to destroy thread worms and to reduce
infestation also used for treatment of low grade
staphylococcal infections of the skin and in psoriasis.
Precautions:
It should not be applied
to raw surface because of mercury absorption. Frequent
or prolonged application to the large areas can cause
mercury poisoning and its usage to infants produces
Credynia (pink disease) also can produce allergic
reactions.
Storage:
It should be stored, and
protected from light.

Plastic tubes contains
